Owek. Katikiro Mayiga Commends Tycoon Ham For being exemplary to the Youth As Entrepreneur

The Katikiro of Buganda kingdom Owek. Charles Peter Mayiga has commended city businessman Hamis Kiggundu, who is popularly known as Ham, for setting a very good example for all aspiring entrepreneurs in Uganda and across the globe, especially the youth. Ham, who is ranked by Forbes Magazine as one of the most respected and wealthy African entrepreneurs in the world below 50 year, is the proprietor of a multibillion business empire that spurns across real estate development, finance, sports complexes, to mention but a few. It is because of Ham’s astounding success as an entrepreneur at such a youthful age that Katikiro Mayiga found it worthy to hail him for a job well done. While appearing on NTV and Spark TV this week during an interview, Mayiga said that people like Ham are very rarer not only in Uganda but also in other countries, reason why the youth should learn from him. “It is hard to build wealth before 50 years and a few people like Ham Kiggundu and Zuckerberg of Facebook are the exceptions,” Mayiga said. He added that; “Being wealthy means that even if you do not work for two months you can still make a passive income to satisfy normal needs or desires.” Although most people that they can become rich by doing one job or limiting themselves to one line of investment, Ham believes in multitasking, reason why he is not only an investor but also a lawyer, sportsman, author and philanthropist. Recently the National Curriculum Development Centre (NCDC) certified Ham’s two books ‘Success and Failure Based on Reason’ and ‘Reality and Reason as the World Masterpiece’ as literally works that can be studied and used for reference by students at higher institutions of learning in Uganda. Ham’s Business Empire Through multitasking, Ham has built a massive business portfolio with ventures not only in Uganda but also in the United Kingdom, South Africa and other countries. Through his company, Ham Group, he owns a property assortment in the heart of Uganda’s capital, Kampala that includes familiar sight shopping centers, office buildings and hotels. Additionally, Ham’s Palm Villas, a private gated area that accommodates hundreds of luxury homes in a glamorous location in the city is another milestone to Uganda’s real estate business and an iconic residential area in East Africa. Last week, Ham unveiled a replica of the White House in Kampala, which will serve as the headquarters for some of the newer businesses he is developing including an agro-processing company and a string of Web and mobile tech startups. Being a sportsman, Ham has also invested heavily in sports and is currently undertaking multibillion project for the reconstruction Nakivubo stadium. He recently hosted American Senegalese musician and entrepreneur Aliaune Damala Badara Thiam aka Akon, who plans to construct a massive sports and business complex known as Akon City, which will be located in Bulebi village, Mukono district. His plans for the first Akon City involves building luxury condominiums, a seaside resort, office parks and even a university in tubular, seemingly gravity-defying skyscrapers that resemble molten metal. Intended as an upscale destination for Black Americans, Akon City will be solar-powered and environmentally friendly, he has said. Residents and visitors will be able to make purchases with Akoin, which he envisions as a global currency. Would you like to get published on this Website?
